Cold weather suddenly here

I know that it is December, but deep down inside I am not quite ready for the arrival of true winter with all of its cold temperatures and snowy sleety rainy weather.
But I guess none of us have much choice in the matter and just have to make the best of it when it finally does arrive.  We were blessed with delightful weather the entire month of November, a real phenomenon here in my corner of the world, where November is notorious for the most awful dreary weather.
But this year we had lots of sunny days and quite mild temperatures, well, mild for here that is!

But over night the temperatures dropped from the 50's to only 35°, and getting colder out there by the minute.

As least one of us is ready for the cold weather.  Cody loves wearing his brand new knit sweater.  He says, let the winter begin!

  1. Glad to hear you have been enjoying good weather. It's in the 50-60's here during the day and still folks are saying it is too cold. They are dressing like we are at the North Pole. I'm usually having hot flashes. Ha! Cody is so handsome. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

  5. Hi Debby, love Cody's sweater! My friend Inge lives in Erding and is co-owner of a sports shop in Munich - I'm sure she's hoping for lots of snow and soon. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.

  6. Very cool sweater for Cody! Does he really like to wear it? I'm glad you had such good weather during November, that really is very unusual. I remember November as the greyest month of the year, downright depressing. We still have great weather here - cold in the nights, often frost in the morning, but sunny and beautiful during the day. Still no rain, though, which starts me worrying a little bit.
Have a wonderful Christmas - do you miss Xmas in the US a lot? I really miss the Christmas season in Germany - I'd love to wander at a Christmas market, a mug of Glühwein in my hand and listen to some Back concerto - no Christmas oratorio here. Sigh.
