The flowers in my life!



"Children in a family are like flowers in a bouquet:
there's always one determined to face in an opposite direction from the way the arranger desires."

I am definitely finding this to be absolutely true. 

When I step back from the "bouquet" and stop trying to make it look as I thought it should be,
I find the arrangement,  just as it is, 
so much more beautiful then I could ever have imagined!

    Hi Debby!! To start, your post is so true!! and I hope that you're feeling better!! I've really enjoyed hearing from you, and am wondering if your ears were ringing when I was talking about you to a patient just a few days ago. She is from 'Ernst' Germany and knew all about the castle you posted about in Eltz--I guess where she's from isn't that far?? At any rate, we had a delightful conversation about it, and she had a good visit to our office--She's not been the easiest patient to talk to, but because of you and your blog, that changed! THANKS for that!! Take care!! :-)

    Now that my children are 40 & 41 I will say this... I have found that I must exercise my right to shut up & let them find their own way. It is so hard to look at them & see them as entering middle age but they are. Everyday it is a test of me to hush & let them make the mistakes & not give unwanted advise!!

    I certainly have a smart friend!!! Isn't this the truth!!! Our bouquets even get sweeter as the time goes by.
    I am so sorry Debby that I haven't been around like I should. I didn't know you were having problems with your leg. I hope you're are feeling better by the time this gets to you.

    Hi Debby, my 16 year old is that flower in the bouquet right now. I know it is the age, and he isn't really doing anything out of the ordinary; a bit of clashing is inevitable. Hope you are doing well, recovering and taking it easy. Best wishes, Tammy
