With an animal loving daughter, my house and yard are bound to fill up with all sorts of furred and feathered friends. These pure breed Silkie hens came into our lives last fall. Tiny and thin upon arrival, we wondered if they would ever look like the photos that the breeder's internet site showed. In time they filled out, and became fluffier and fluffier.
Sweet natured, quiet, always willing to be cuddled, and very soft to the touch, we are enjoying our little girls....

How sweet! They look so soft. We had a house lop eared bunny once, named Brodi. Loved him.

ReplyDeleteHi again Debby, how wonderful that you saw a show on Nepal! It was certainly an adventure. Lots to see, but lots of poverty too and the roads were not great which made road trips so much longer than they really needed to be. Add to that the mudslides, landslides, rockslides ... of course we were there during monsoon season. October/November and April are the best months to visit.

ReplyDeleteWhat sweet chickens...I love silkies. I've never had them but I'd really like to get some one day. Right now I have a mixed flock of large laying hens and one rooster and 3 bantam hens and a little rooster. I love chickens! Your's look like powder puffs!
